Upcott House was built in 1752 and is set in 69 acres of gardens and woodland, giving beautiful views across the Taw Estuary and town of Barnstaple. During recent years Upcott House has been skillfully converted and all the accommodation is is well-appointed, spacious, comfortable and fully equipped.

SITUATION We are situated in an ideal position to explore this area. Just a few minutes drive will enable you to discover some of North Devon's finest sandy beaches, spectacular rugged coastal scenery and the unspoilt beauty of Exmoor. The traditional market town of Barnstaple is just two miles away, with a complete range of shops and facilities, including a traditional pannier market.

THINGS TO DO At Upcott House there is a fully enclosed heated swimming pool 45 by 15 feet, with patio and furniture, a licensed bar, snooker room with full sized table, lawn tennis court, badminton net (rackets available for both), 14ft trampoline with safety netting and children's play area. There is also a barbecue. There are numerous things to do in the area including visits to historic towns, National Trust properties, arts and crafts galleries. In the area you can play golf, go walking, riding, fishing, sailing, canoeing or windsurfing. At Barnstaple there is a large leisure centre and indoor pool and the famous Branham Pottery. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs providing a wide choice of places to eat out.

PRICES PER WEEK includes bed linen and towels. Electricity by £1 coin meter. Part storage heating (apart from Tracy apartment) at £10 - £20 per week. Changeover day is Saturday and the house is ready for you from 3pm.
