Inside Mariners Cottage you will find all of the modern conveniences required for your stay in Stoke Gabriel, with gas fired central heating to keep you snug and warm should you choose a winter break.

Ground Floor Sitting / Dining Room with feature stone fireplace, which includes a gas wood burning stove.

Also TV / video / DVD unit and mini Hi-fi system and farmhouse pine dining room suite which seats 6.

Wonderful views of the Mill Pond and woodland beyond are found from both front facing windows.

From the sitting room, a door leads to the modern and fully fitted kitchen, including gas hob and oven, microwave, fridge / freezer and washing machine with separate tumble drier. Cutlery and crockery for 6 along with a full range of modern cooking utensils are provided.

Upstairs you will find the Master Bedroom with bed-side units, dressing table and wardrobe. Twin Bedroom with an ensuite shower room, wash basin and toilet also with wardrobes and more than ample storage.
Both rooms have fabulous views over the Mill Pond and woodland beyond.

Also upstairs there is a fully fitted, modern bathroom where you will find the airing cupboard and controls for the hot water and central heating.

Please Note that we do provide duvets and pillows but you are required to bring bed linen, towels and tea-towels for use during your stay.

Outside Mariners Cottage has a terraced garden with wonderful views over the Mill Pond and the River Dart beyond. Includes seating area with teak furniture, including table with seating for six, 4 outdoor chairs and a bench, where you can dine in peace and privacy and watch all the activity out on the water. There is even a barbecue stored in the kitchen… all you need bring is the charcoal and the steaks!

We are pet friendly at Mariners but charge an additional £20 per dog. Please indicate on your booking form that you are intending to bring a dog(s) with you. Please note that we only allow a maximum of two dogs.

Car Parking at Mariners
We have 1 season ticket for the private car park on the quay or on the grass opposite Mariners Cottage, so when you arrive please advise the car park attendant that you are staying at Mariners Cottage and you will receive free parking for the week.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR ONE CAR ONLY AND YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARK A TRAILER IN THE CAR PARK.
Additional cars can purchase a weekly pass at a reduced rate to the daily rate.

Prices
The table on the right gives details of weekly rates for Mariners Cottage. Long weekends are from Friday pm to Monday am and are costed at 75% of the weekly rate. Please note that due to the demand for weeks in the summer period we do not take weekend bookings from 2nd May to 26th Sept.
Charges are fully inclusive of electricity, gas and water.

Please Note that you are required to take your own linen.

Approx 2 weeks prior to your holiday we will send you a set of keys and a pack of information. You are also required to provide a security deposit of £150 as part of your final payment. This security deposit is to cover the cost of any breakages or damage caused at the property or any cleaning that may be required after your stay. Once our property managers have checked over the property and found all is well plus we have received the keys back from you we will return your security deposit.

Please Note that in the event of you wishing to cancel your holiday, deposits or full payments can only be refunded if we can re book the cottage. If this is of concern we recommend you consider taking out holiday insurance.

Check in day is Sat after 2.30pm with departure on Sat before 10.30am.
Please stick to these times to allow for any extra cleaning that is required.

How to find Mariners Cottage
Stoke Gabriel can be found off the A385 Paignton to Totnes road and is approx. 4 miles from each town.
If travelling from the Exeter and M5 direction continue south onto the A38 signed for Plymouth and Torquay. Then follow the A380 signed for Torquay and Paignton. Continue on the A380 towards Brixham. Now look for the A385 sign posted Totnes and Stoke Gabriel at a set of cross roads / traffic lights. Turn right onto A385.After a short distance you will enter Collaton St Mary. Turn left by the side of a bar / restaurant again signed for Stoke Gabriel. Follow this road into Stoke Gabriel. Narrow roads now so take care. Continue on this road past a garage and a school until you see a pub called the Castle, with a paper shop opposite. Take the road in between called Mill Hill. The Quay is down this road. Watch for signs for the Quay and Quayhole Café.
Mariners is situated at the bottom of the hill opposite the grass car parking area.
