SITUATION Once the old forge, this cosy cottage has been recently renovated and restored throughout to provide extremely comfortable self catering accommodation. The cottage has its own private brick paved south facing courtyard, furnished with quality wrought iron table and chairs where you can sit and relax and listen to the stream tumble by through the garden of Paradise.

Historic Ottery St Mary is a tiny East Devon market town, birthplace of Samual Taylor Coleridge and once home to Sir Walter Raleigh. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and situated halfway betwixt Honiton (famous for its lace and antiques) and the Edwardian seaside resort of Sidmouth, both 6 miles distant. Nestling in the Otter Valley in an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty', with rolling countryside that seems to stretch away forever, Ottery St Mary offers everything you need for day to day living as well as cosy tea shops and quaint giftshops to while away your time.

Haven Cottage is centrally located within easy reach of East Devon's many beaches, quaint villages and numerous attractions, and there is plenty to do for all ages. The cathedral city of Exeter is 12 miles away as is Exmouth with its 3 miles of golden sand. Lyme Regis - world famous for fossils - and Dartmoor National Park are within easy reach.

THINGS TO DO All across East Devon far reaching views are assured - take a stroll and enjoy the scenery - there are some 90 footpaths to choose around Ottery alone! And for those who wish to catch bigger fry than a bucket full of shiny minnows, fishing permits are available at the local Post Office. Further afield there are all the pleasures of life on or around the sea. Learn to sail, windsurf or swim. Golfing and horseriding are available. Local attractions include Crealy Adventure Park, Bicton Park and Gardens, Farway Animal Farm, Seaton Tramway and The Dinosaur Museum at Lyme Regis, to name but a few.

ACCOMMODATION

There are two bedrooms, one double, one twin. The sitting room has an open fireplace (welcome basket of logs provided), television / DVD player and plenty of books. The kitchen and bathroom are both fully fitted, and towels are also provided to make your stay easier (please remember to bring your own beach towels). If you are travelling with a toddler or two, a box full of toys and a cot are available on request. All electrical sockets are covered and there are plenty of books and videos available in the cottage for your childs use.

Haven Cottage is suitable for those with limited mobility.

Low Season £200 per week, Oct - Easter (excluding Christmas & New Year)
Low Season Short Breaks available, £40 per night
Mid Season £290 per week, Easter - end September (excluding July & August)
High Season £320 per week, July, Aug, Christmas & New Year.
Weekends & extra nights available at reasonable rates subject to availability.

All prices include bed linen, towels, the first £10 of electricity used and a welcome basket of logs.

£50 deposit required on booking. Balance: 6 weeks
