Galford Springs is an ideal choice for large parties, families, clubs and groups. It is newly converted to a high standard and has fully approved disabled access, including WC and ramps. The building is fully fitted with smoke detectors and alarms. Galford Farm itself is an ancient farmstead which is still a working stock farm of 300 acres. Visitors are welcome to walk on the farm and to view the stock.

SITUATION On working farm very close to Dartmoor in a very tranquil valley, at the foot of Galford Down amidst beautiful rolling countryside. Tavistock,Lauceston,Okehampton Within 10 Miles.There are small shops at Lewdown about 2 miles away.

THINGS TO DO The area has numerous places to visit, including Dartmoor, historic towns such as Okehampton and Tavistock, National Trust properties, arts and crafts galleries and the famous Lydford Gorge. It is ideally situated for walking, either nearby on Dartmoor, on the farm itself, or you can follow the the 'Two Castles Trail' which runs right through Galford Farm. This 20 mile walk links Launceston and Okehampton castles. It is beautiful, well sign posted and has a guide leaflet to interpret many of the features seen on the trail. We are right in the middle of the trail so you can choose your direction! The beautiful beaches of Devon and Cornwall are all within easy reach (Bude approx. 20 miles). Sailing and canoeing are available on the nearby Roadford Lake. There are a number of pubs and restaurants within a short drive and transport can be provided to the nearest pub.

Feed the tame lambs and ponies on the farm. Beautiful river for playing in. Jethro's night club and family pubs in the village and a local shop.

ACCOMMODATION Galford Springs is a fantastic holiday destination for those seeking a walking or touring holiday. The main area is a superb open plan space - a massive 45ft by 30ft - with a cosy oil-fired flame effect stove heater and hearth in the room. There are three large pine tables and chairs with TV viewing area, dining area and bar. 50 inch Plasma TV, Sky Music centre, DVD and cinema sound. You can enjoy a great party at Galford Springs - switch on the music, clear the floor and you're away! The main open plan area sleeps 10 in double bunks, plus four on double sofa-beds. There are also 2 separate double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, ample hanging and storage space and storage heaters. Separate kitchen with double stove, double sink, washing machine, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster, cutlery and plates for 18. Gents bathroom with sinks and shower, Ladies bathroom with sinks and shower. Also Two ensuite double private rooms. Purpose built disabled lavatory. The interior of Galford springs is designed on one level.

Horses are welcome by arrangement, as are well-behaved dogs.
Cots available on request.

PRICES PER PERSON NIGHT £15 (minimum party size 6, babies half price) inclusive of electricity, heating and bed-linen. Reductions for 13 or more people. During the high season the minimum booking period is one week at other times of the year we are flexible.
Discount for full week booking.

Change-over day Saturday in main season, short breaks available out of season.

Deposit A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required on booking with the balance on arrival.

For small parties bed and breakfast terms are available at £25 per person per night. Evening meals may be available by arrangement.
